Christmas Morning Goes to the Cats

Merry Christmas Everyone!!

Rambo and Shylo here. We are the family cats, the protectors of the bed covers (we are not napping we are protecting!), explorers of the backyard and the unfinished part of the basement. We stop rodents from making our house their house. We are also Santa's eyes and ears around here. We are the ones that put our masters on the naughty or nice list...so I guess you could say we are the real masters of the house! COUGH COUGH...Sorry hairball!

This year all the Masters (big and small) were on the nice list. The smallest master or should I say the shortest Master was on the naughty list form leaving us for such long periods of time but she came home for the holidays and lets us sleep with her so at the last minute we called up Old Red and switched her back to the nice list. The youngest Master should be on the naughty list. He is always waking us from naps with his so called petting and his loud music and noise that comes from a magic box connected to the biggest magic box with the moving pictures. He calls it his toy when really he is a slave to it! When he is not playing on the magic box he is outside chasing an orange ball and shooting it into a hoop.

Back to this morning...history was made! The apha masters of the house were actually up before their kittens. They got to run and jump on them and awake them with bright flashes of light from a machine that freezes time. The kittens did not respond well to this but were blinded and so their retaliation was simply moans and waving of the hands wildly in the air. After getting everyone up (not awake but up) they continued their annual tradition of walking down the stairs to the brightly lit tree we love the climb and and stare at...what can we say its covered in shinny things! The sight of the tree with lots of mysterious boxes wrapped in crazy paper made all the kitten wake right up and a sudden fight broke out for who would be the first to reach the ultimate goal.... the socks! It was a regular cat fight!

Papers went flying, bows flew through the air! It was a glorious sight! It is my favorite day of the year all the new toys to play with after we destroy the paper and bows! They are our enemy and they taste soo yummy!

This year Master Brent got a new sweater to wear while I, Rambo, massage his feet! It is how I show my love for him . He responds by shaking his feet and yelling my name. This is when I know I have done well.

Master Mom is the most popular one in the house. Everyone is always calling her name. She is in the center of everything! Her mystery boxes contained a new sparkling ring! This gift made her smile very big!

Master Jake will be leaving us again soon. He heads north into the cold and since he doesn't have hair like we cats do the other Masters gave him ski pants and gloves to keep him from freezing. He will conquer the mountain!!

Master Cassie (the short one) received many gifts as well. She got a new bag to carry all of her other stuff in back and forth as she disappears from the house and returns every few months. She also received a calendar with a man all over it. He is in water and smiling. Why anyone would smile while in water is beyond me. I hate water. I hate anything that has to do with water, therefore I hate the calendar!

Master Roxanne unwrapped a mysterious box that contained a shiny metal box that when you push a button music comes out! It made her very happy.

Master Holly got a big box that she can attatched her magic music box to and it makes the music only louder. While she thinks this is wonderful we think it is horrible. How are we going to protect her covers with all the racket?

Master Baby received many clothes. They are blue and have a big D on them along with a picture of the devil. He was very excited. After all the mystery boxes were opened he got called back and found a hidden present that made him very very happy. It is a huge vinyl letter D and images of the same devil to put on the walls in his room. Master Cassie mumbled something about it needing to be a Y. Something things I will never understand about humans. It is a letter who cares! Where is my catnip?

Merry Catmus!
